Carrollton, the seat of Carroll County, is highlighted by a vibrant and
historic downtown square. It is served by State Highways 16, 61 and 113, and US
Highway 27, about 45 miles west of Atlanta.
Historic Adamson Square is the host to much of Carrollton's exciting
events. Carrollton is also home to The State University of West Georgia, a member of
the University System of Georgia and Carroll Technical Institute.
Lake Carroll in downtown Carrollton, Lake Paradise at Moody Park, Lake Tisinger near Bowdon, Lake Buckhorn and West Point Lake provide plenty of
fishing and recreation.
